The 1920’s seemed exciting and exotic. But in Germany, the Weimar Republic was setting the tone for economic failure and the rise of a populist leader. The United States was becoming isolationist and shutting its doors to refugees and technology seemed to imply we would have better communication.
Professor Steven T. Katz will return for Shabbat to give us his perspective on that extraordinary decade.
On Friday evening, November 16, beginning at 6:30 PM we’ll have Kabbalat Shabbat services followed by a completely catered dinner from Mizrahi Grill and then hear from Steven.
Shabbat services on Saturday morning begins at 10 AM followed by kiddush lunch and the continuation of Steven’s lecture.
